Job Mission

Volvo Truck Technical Trainer, North Africa and Morocco, is responsible to deliver training courses based on analysis of competence gaps for private importers, dealers and direct sales customers. Securing training materials, tools and components for training at Volvo Maroc Competence Development Centre, Casablanca and importers’ training centers in North Africa.

Job Scope

  • Delivery of technical and system – technical related trainings.
  • Develop trainer network and their competence level.
  • Participate and contribute in MEENA Competence Development acitivities
  • Participate in TtT-MEENA level and carry out TtT for trainer network

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Understand and work according to the competence development process and competence portal
  • Deliver/Conduct required and planned technical and system(technical related) trainings based on competence development needs from NA & Morocco
  • Support on the development of a trainer network throughout NA & Morocco
  • Support our trainers in North Africa – in carrying out their local training plan
  • Prepare and adapt training material according to global standards
  • Secure that courses executed are registered into the competence portal
  • Secure components, tools and materials are available before each training and also plan components, tools and materials for any new variants and new product launch training in the market.
  • Secure that the facilities in Casablanca are up to the Volvo Truck CD standard
  • Act as subject matter expert, if required
  • Participate at the Area Trainer Seminars at MEENA level and TtT HQ level
  • Upon request manage projects – for example NA & Morocco’s participation in VISTA competition.
  • Support the implementation of the competence development platform
  • Generate progress reports within own area of responsibility
  • Manage expenses related to own responsibilities (activities, projects) within the budget frames
  • Work actively as a team member within area of expertise
  • Be constantly updated with product changes within NA & Middle East
  • Be constantly targeting his/her work and responsibilities towards improving its quality (through benchmarking, PDCA, best practices, feedback…)

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or long technical background
  • Skilled in mechanics and electrics and good knowledge of trucks ans buses
  • Knowledge of One of the Volvo group products is a plus.

Preferred Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • We value a person with high technical knowledge about the Volvo group truck products and knowledge about Competence Development. We also value a self-starting and technical focused person.
  • Experience of working in heavy vehicle industry
  • Structured and ability to teach people
  • International experience and working with other cultures is an advantage.
