Job Overview :
To organize a high volume of creative jobs and act as the liaison between agency’s internal departments. This includes, but is not limited to: scheduling, prioritizing, project routing and database management. A Traffic Manager must be assertive, highly motivated and enjoy being an integral team member. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage a diverse project load, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial for this position.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and oversee the timely flow of projects for various accounts from conception through completion and understand terminology
- Develop and maintain time-sensitive, up-to-date project schedules and work closely with the account, creative, and production departments to ensure correct and timely deliverables
- Serve as the key liaison between account services, creative, production and digital studio
- Regularly communicate the status of all projects by means of daily and weekly updates
- Ensure that the fundamental traffic processes are adhered to and the orderly flow of materials throughout the agency
- Keep everything up-to-date and maintain consistency in project job jackets
- Diplomatically enforce deadlines and problem solve in an efficient and professional manner
- Assists employees with procedures relating to traffic and production
Qualifications :
- BA/BS in Advertising Design, Graphic Design or similar major
- 2-3+ years of experience in project or traffic management in an advertising agency or in-house agency environment is preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and proofing skills are a must
- Understanding of the traffic functions within an agency environment
- Proactive self-started who can maintain an upbeat positive attitude
- Excellent organization and communication skills with an exceptional eye for detail
- Willingness and ability to do what it takes to see projects through to completion
- Possess a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality of their work
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with minimal supervision
- Possess an understanding of the production process relating to creative, print, and other marketing tactics in order to effectively manage resources, time, and budgets; additional experience with digital media production would be ideal
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and Excel; plus the willingness to learn new software and management tools as needed. Knowledge of the Mac platform is a plus
