- Responsible for meeting medical sales objectives and managing multiple priorities and projects within a defined sales territory.
- Under general direction is responsible for administering a sales program within a defined sales territory to enhance the awareness and understanding of the Ophthalmology range.
- Develop and maintain sales targets within assigned area through established territory sales plans, expense plan goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze monthly and quarterly sales figures and initiate appropriate action where necessary, as discussed and approved in writing by the immediate supervisor.
- Develops and implements special programs within territory to maximize sales opportunities
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships with targeted opinion leaders and hospitals including physicians, medical staff, pharmacies, etc.
- To promote and detail the benefits of promoted product to professionals and paraprofessionals in the medical field through effective, pre-planned promotional methods tailored to the specific and unique need of each customer.
- Providing expert assistance in the preparation and facilitation of medical education programs to key opinion leaders
- Maintain a proficient level of product and disease knowledge in line with therapeutic areas accountable for.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned.
