Volvo Trucks InternationalVolvo Trucks International is responsible for sales and marketing activities in Africa, East, Middle East and Asia/Pacific markets, covering truck sales in 70 countries.Sales Finance MEENAMiddle East, East and North West AfricaManager of Sales Financing will have the responsibility for driving, developing, and executing export finance solutions for independent dealers and key customers within the MEENA region, with focus on North West Africa.This position will report to Sales Finance Advisor MEENA, with a strong connection to the Commercial Trucks Director.MissionThe person will amongst others plan, execute and follow-up all financing solutions and provide appropriate support to the commercial teams, market companies and private importers to proactively deliver creative financial solutions to end customers and is, in this capacity, also responsible for the development of Sales Financing competences within the designated Hub.The person needs to keep a strong commercial focus and a prerequisite for success is ability to develop and maintain an effective cooperation with a number of stakeholders across the sales organization, independent dealers, banks, private insurers, Export Credit Agencies (ECA’s), etc.He/She will provide within the unit effective coordination and general direction that reflect The Volvo Way and promote the Company’s Mission, Vision and Wanted Position statements.Main Activities And Responsibilities

  • Secure financing solutions to enable efficient commercial financing schemes in support to VT brand sales objectives, according to agreed targets and within agreed risk for MEENA
  • Manage and execute discussions / negotiations with banks, independent dealers, key customers, etc.
  • Drive and challenge the MEENA Countries to proactively promote finance solutions. Evaluate and harmonize clear Sales Financing processes
  • Ensure that each part of MEENA Countries have, and are motivated to achieve, clearly formulated and agreed plans which are aligned with business plans and strategy, i.e. making sure that financing is an integral and fully natural part in the sales process
  • Establish, develop, and maintain a network among local and foreign banks, ECA’s, private insurance companies, etc. to facilitate the commercial targets of customer financing in the assigned countries
  • Lead the Sales Financing processes and tools for the brands. Ensure that all MEENA Countries are properly resourced in all respects and have the capacity commitment and competence to achieve the planned objectives
  • Secure risk levels taken throughout MEENA through financing solutions, and operational knowledge of Volvo Group customers
  • Champion the culture aimed at giving a strong image of the unit and being in line with Volvo Group values and principles

Critical competencies and personal attributes for the position

  • The person should feel comfortable in an international environment and be able to integrate with people from varied backgrounds
  • This role requires someone who can create and develop business relationships, and deliver and implement solutions.
  • A well-developed social competence together with a good sense of humor and ability to contribute to an energetic and positive environment

  • The person is an excellent communicator with proven negotiation skills as well as an experienced networker

Specific and proven experiences in the following areas are specifically sought for

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Sales/Trade/Export Financing n a financial institution or corporate.
  • A strong network among banks and ECAs/private insurers
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of ‘flexibility’, including an ability to network effectively across a diverse customer base and to build enduring relationships across functional areas and geographical areas.
  • Distinctive problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
  • Proficiency in the English language is required
