Position Objective

  • Responsibility for Trade including: product, sales, risk.
  • Product and business development.
  • Sales pipeline management.
  • Origination and structuring responsibility for high-impact/ sophisticated customers.
  • Structuring non-standard solutions and transactions.
  • Product management and implementation of Trade Finance products and programs.
  • Product management and implementation of Trade Services product and programs.
  • Cross-functional liaison across product areas including: Credit, Legal and Treasury.
  • The position will report into the MENAPT Trade Head and North Africa TTS Head.

StrategicKey Responsibilities:

  • Drive the trade strategy for North Africa with support of the Divisional Trade Head and TTS Head.

Revenue/Cost/ Budget

  • Manage Revenues, Expenses.

Sales

  • Actively market Trade Products Spectrum within the market and in conjunction with this build and maintain a suitable pipeline, with accountability throughout lifetime of deals.
  • Have end-to-end ownership of trade customers’ transactions and manages key customers providing value-add services (end to end tracking of Trade Products transactions, MIS reporting, proactive communication).
  • Provided Trade partners (Product, Operations, Credit, and Legal) and Sales / Relationship Managers with ongoing training on Trade Products enabling them to effectively market the Trade Product.
  • Being the customer’s single point of contact for Trade Products and effectively resolves customer issues related to Trade Products transactions

Product

  • Ensuring all product /credit programs to be annually updated.
  • Approval of structured trade/ larger, more complex transaction.
  • Manage various embedded risks in the business: Credit, Cross Border, Operational, and Liquidity and Cost of Credit.
  • Work closely with the Trade Operations Team in order to implement Trade strategy and rollout within Target Market, and actively develop full spectrum of Trade solutions. Solutions include:
  • Import and Export Letters of Credit;
  • Import and Export Collections;
  • Guarantees;
  • Trade Loans
  • Accounts Receivables and
  • Supplier Finance
  • Export Agency Finance.
  • Commodity Trade Finance
  • Take ownership of Trade Products delivery and provide ongoing support to existing customers in accordance with their changing requirements.
  • Advise customers, where applicable, on effective management of their transactions (documents, discrepancies etc.).
  • Works with other Trade partners to ensure customer specific processes are adhered to, and customer expectations (turn-around times etc.) are met.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction, creation of cross sell opportunities, revenues, asset growth, customer acquisition and the competitive positioning of the bank.
  • Ensures timely delivery of customer requirements and works with other Trade departments on establishing error free processes.
  • Key for making operational decisions / approvals for transaction exception resolution within established guidelines.
  • Have specific service goals on proactive solutions, customer handling, customer satisfaction, pending transactions, etc.
  • Perform periodical reviews with clients and escalate customer feedback appropriately.
  • Support the Sales/Product team by servicing a portfolio of non-customer beneficiary names – proactively contacting these customers to establish their service requirements and satisfaction with Citi.
  • Understand and perform the administrative tasks related to running Trade Products portfolio, including tracking key revenue drivers.
  • To regularly review MIS to establish new opportunities / names to target. To review possibilities with Product and Sales and establish the next steps.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Product team, highlighting potential opportunities for Citi to gain additional wallet share, and also escalating when business expected has not been received.
  • Track transaction flows from this segment.

Others

  • Key member of TTS Team in Morocco.
  • Developing a cadre of skilled trade professionals and relationship partners.
  • Manage, monitor and report the Trade revenue numbers on a monthly basis.

  • Trade product knowledge especially structured products and ability to handle the larger, more complex transactions.
  • Risk assessment/approval experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree required
