About the role
- To establish regular contacts with schools, institutions, key decision makers and booksellers to secure adoptions, build OUP’s profile, facilitate the effective distribution of samples and ensure the availability of OUP products.
- To draw up a schedule of visits in conjunction with the Area Manager, and other team members where relevant, so as to ensure targeted and maximum coverage per market. Sales visits are a key aspect of the post.
- To gather relevant market information on the markets in the territory to allow us to focus our sales and marketing efforts most effectively, and to share this information as required by local, regional and UK staff.
- To help organise OUP’s presences at conferences and exhibitions.
- To work closely with regional colleagues to plan, execute and evaluate promotional activities.
- To develop a sound knowledge of OUP school titles, their pedagogy and curriculum need so as to ensure best fit to customer needs and minimise competing adoptions.
- To prepare and give presentations/workshops for teachers in order to promote OUP educational materials and secure adoptions of English and Arabic titles, working with regional teacher trainers to ensure consistent quality in pre and post-adoption services
- To undertake relevant administrative tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth running of OUP’s promotional activities.
About you
Essential
- Fluency in English and either French or Arabic
- University Degree
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Full driving license
Desirable
- Sales & marketing experience
- Sound geographical knowledge of the Morocco
- CELTA qualification or equivalent
