Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our Casablanca plant, Morocco location. ( CV must be sent in English)
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Provide leadership and expertise to implement, improve and maintain ISO EN9100 compliant quality systems, Nadcap, and Customer certifications. Serve as primary person responsible for these certifications.
- Establish key focus on internal and external customer satisfaction by understanding and implementing material and system requirements, establishing teaming relationships and resolving problems
- Act as primary resource in the research and response to customer complaints, rejections and requests for corrective action to enhance positive customer and supplier relationships in a cooperative environment, including continuous follow up and interface with customers and/or supplier on all quality issues.
- Ensure the QC Test Laboratories release accurate test results whilst meeting OTD and department lead time metrics.
- Conduct management reviews of the quality system at least semi-annually; maintain records of quality reviews and actions resulting from these reviews
- Preparing quality plans/manuals on existing and new products; these plans include sampling plans, special customer requirements, etc. to ensure product quality
- Ensure compliance of manufacturing documents to quality requirements.
- Support process capability improvement efforts for Products & processes
- Be primary point of contact for 3rd party registrars
- Interface with other functions & drive quality improvement initiatives
- Measure, track and communicate critical performance metrics to management, site personnel and corporate (PPM, customer credits, number of complaints, First Pass Yield etc)
- Has to be able to lead problem-solving activities, with appropriate tools (such as 5 Phase or 8D), improvement techniques (such as Six Sigma) and quality planning techniques (APQP, FMEA, PCP) and personally lead the resolution of major issues. An ability to understand, when necessary, the detail of issues is very important.
- Define, facilitate and implement the quality training requirements and certifications for the plant including personnel.
- Evaluate performance and development needs for quality personnel
- Manage all quality audits, whether system, customer or supplier
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality management
- Relevant technical degree
- Aerospace or Automotive Quality Management experience
- Intimate & working knowledge of EN9100 and quality standards
- Strong working knowledge and leadership skills using Six Sigma or equivalent problem solving techniques
- Very good interpersonal skills, positive and pragmatic approach.
- Change agent capabilities
- Skills at interfacing with customers, suppliers and auditors.
- Experience of problem solving processes and Quality Planning activities
- Good people management, planning and organizational skills
- Mastery of both French & English
