ROLE SUMMARY
The Finance Leader has an overall responsibility for financial analysis, planning, and control of the site and will lead and develop the El Jadida Finance Team. Will be a member of and work closely with Site Leadership Team and interact with various levels of management throughout the PGS organization on operational and financial issues.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads financial team with primary responsibility for manufacturing operations and associated product costs
- Ensures the reporting of monthly and quarterly financial results both for local and headquarter requirements are prepared and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for the forecast process working closely in conjunction with the site leadership team and the LSM OPU Finance Director.
- Leads the completion of annual operating budget for the site.
- Actively participates in Site Leadership Meetings, Operating Review Meetings and other meetings in which a finance partner is required to support site’s leadership and strategic direction
- Provides the site and other stakeholders with necessary financial information and financial consequences of operating decisions
- Supports site’s long range financial planning initiatives
- Provides financial guidance and counsel on change initiatives impacting the plant (e.g. PGS Transformation initiatives)
- Reviews and approves economic evaluations and analysis on site’s projects and initiatives such capital investments, new product introduction and other business opportunities.
- Assures adequate SOX accounting controls in all related processes. Drives a culture of compliance within the SLT and more broadly across the site. Ensures audit readiness with a keen focus on appropriate controls documentation and an internal program to ensure compliance with same
- Works closely with PGS Divisional Controllers to strengthen compliance
- Supports the completion of the statutory audit
- Works closely with other finance stakeholders in particular, commercial finance team in El Jadida, GFS in Prague and the GFS Manufacturing Finance CoE
- Develops and guides the finance team to completion of objectives
- Manages all aspects of direct reports’ development including career enhancement and performance management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational/Training:
- University degree required in finance, accounting or related specialties.
- CPA qualification a plus
Work Experience:
- Minimum 8 years related working experiences in a multinational pharmaceutical
- Proven success record with business support
Technical requirements:
- Good understanding of Moroccan and US GAAP;
- Fluent English skills in oral expression and business writing
- Understanding of Pfizer processes, systems and culture if internal
