As a Country Purchasing Manager your job purpose is to develop and implement specific country Purchasing strategy, policies and procedures in line with corporate strategy. Drives indirects & services purchasing activites such as strategic sourcing, contract management, Morocco supplier performance management within a sound relationship with suppliers. Guarantees indirects inventroy and services goals achievement through efficient risk management and continous improvement proposals in order to support Coficab’s business objectives within a lowest possible total cost.

Your key challenges are: 

  • Contributes in the development of an appropriate regional sourcing strategy regarding regional purchases within a fully understanding of Coficab spend categories & the characteristics of specific supplier market. Supports the identification of high potential regional alternative suppliers.
  • Drafts and reviews contracts or agreements, leads negotiation of procurement contracts or agreements terms & conditions and monitors the approval process according to the predefined procedure and the purchasing rules.
  • Consolidates, controls and analyses the annual purchasing budget. Defines and coordinates immediate corrective mesures in case of discreapency and regarding pooling of procurement regionally.
  • Develops and maintains updated purchasing and suppliers risk mapping and conducts continuously risks assessment linked to supply sources including supplier market & region risks. Develops and monitors contingency plan, initiates, if needed, its implementation and follows up accordingly improvement actions plans realization and effectiveness.
  • Monitors regional supplier performance management process by reviewing regularly collected & consolidated required data, supervising the regional rating according to predefined grids and ensuring a timely report of obtained results and feedbacks to suppliers.
  • Contributes actively in regional supplier performance improvement within a sound relationship with suppliers and oversees, if needed, regional suppliers audits according approved audit plan.
  • Prepares, communicates and reviews regional purchasing KPI’s & periodic report and defines accordingly continuous improvement plans of processes, procedures and systems to meet the Purchasing department and the Company’s objectives. 

Educational Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
  • Engineering degree (industrial, mechanical)

Required Experience: 

  • 5 to 10 years in similar position in industrial environment (automotive sector is desired)

Functional and Technical Competencies in: Purchasing strategies, Purchasing processes and procedures, Negociation skills, Sourcing techniques, Suppliers relationship management, National and international import/export legislation, Legal norms (contracts), Basic accounting and finance, Continuous improvement techniques, Quality & EHS standards, Analytical and problem solving skills, Organizational skills, Budgeting & Cost estimating, Project Management, Risk Management.

Software:

MS Office Softwares ( Excel, Words, PPT, ..) and MES, ERP applications

Languages: English is a must.
