In Morocco we’re looking for an accomplished COO (Chief OperatingOfficer) to be responsible of Finance, HR, Business Intelligence & Strategy functions in Schibsted Morocco. We’re seeking a visionary person to build upon what we’ve achieved so far providing leadership on the mentioned areas to grow the business.

What will be your role?
As a COO you’ll be a key member of the management team, reporting locally to the CEO and collaborating on group level with Emerging Markets/Headquarter teams. You’ll be responsible of all Finance, HR, BI & Strategy initiatives. You’ll need to deeply understand the business, master all business areas, mix that with some creativity and a lot of strategy & planning to help on improving the business, implementing the processes and influencing the direction of the company toward success.
You’ll need to be HANDS ON when it’s necessary and you’ll have to lead your team to deliver tangible results.
The responsibilities include:
– Assist in defining the company’s strategy and key decisions making
– Build/Implement business plans
– Ensure group & local reporting’s (Actuals, Forecasts, Budgets) & relations with all stakeholders
– Manage cash requests/ Monitor cash balances & forecasts
– Support all business units delivering analysis & comments to make accurate decisions
– Prepare & presents Monthly/Quarterly Business meetings/reviews (Locally and Group level when required)
– Ensure close follow up on Business KPIs
– Ensure company’s reporting are done within deadlines and are free from misstatements/prepared according to regulations
– Negotiate & draft agreements and other legal documents (In collaboration with external legal counsels)
– Manage relations and partnerships with external providers
– Manage risk factors that could rise from business decisions or operations
– Lead, hire, train, mentor teams that you’ll manage
– Prepare and oversee market research, market landscapes, strategies and plans
– Develop and execute strategic initiatives
– Collaborate with Group colleagues from different countries
Ready to have fun?
Requirements
– +5 years proven work experience in Finance/Audit/Consulting
– MS in Economics, Business administration or Management
– Excellent analytical and problem solving aptitude combined with brilliant communication skills
– Ability to inspire and guide teams without direct authority and provide hands-on leadership
– Understand and able to communicate with all types of internal and external stakeholders
