Morocco Country Manager
Preferably Based in Marrakesh
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of 3 direct reports in the Marrakech Office and 33 Trip Leaders/Guides to achieve quality goals from our office in Marrakech.
- Support the program services manager Hiring/Training/Scheduling/Coaching/Managing Trip Leaders/Tour Guides through performance management to meet company guidelines in order to achieve excellence
- Maintain a strong high performing organization who exemplify the company’s culture, values and team spirit
- Driving performance in a fast paced environment and working under pressure
- Supporting Trip Leaders/Tour Guides on the road and obtaining live feedback from passengers
- Working with the regional team and head office on the development of new programs and improvement of existing
- Creating strong relationships with primary and secondary vendors and supporting buying goals
- Providing 24/7 Emergency support and driving resolutions of operations/customer issues
You must possess:
- 5 years’ experience in tourism, particularly focus on experience with inbound tourism
- Experience with North American travelers
- Excellent interpersonal / communication and problem solving skills
- Proven vendor relations and negotiation skills
- Fluency in written & spoken English – CVs to be sent in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel
- Ability to implement the company’s performance driven strategy with a strong focus on product quality, operational initiatives and cost management
- The right aptitude and discipline
- Be able to spend 50% of the time on the road to support The Product, Trip Leaders/Tour Guides and program management
